A variety of startup programs exist to help founders test, validate and scale. Some provide funding. Most of these listed below run at least once a year. (Check the WA Innovation Ecosystem Navigator for a more comprehensive list.)

Take an idea from a concept to a business over 11 weeks, run by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research & Innovation

For startups, SMEs, researchers and farmers looking to accelerate, scale and commercialise innovative agtechs

Orbit (Bloom)

12-month accelerator program designed to guide early-stage startups towards scalability and growth; from Bloom

Launchpad (Bloom)

12-week program that lets you develop a business idea and get academic credit towards your university degree

Perth Biodesign

7 month course for engineers, clinicians and researchers to create a medical technology or digital health solution

VentureUp (Venture UWA)

$7,500 equity free funding and weekly program available for early stage startup ideas or businesses; for UWA students

VentureOn (Venture UWA)

$20,000 equity free funding and 7-month accelerator program to 10x your business; for UWA students/alumni

Mining Tech (Founders Factory)

4 month accelerator for mining techs, with mentoring, $250,000 investment and access to Rio Tinto

Nature Tech (Founders Factory)

4 month accelerator for nature techs, with mentoring, $50,000 investment; in partnership with WA Government

Propel (City of Fremantle)

Small equity free funding available, mentoring and other support; for blue economy, sustainability and immersive tech

Curtin Accelerate (Curtin Uni)

12 week program designed for individuals who want to grow their entrepreneurial capabilities and toolset
